Areas We Cover

Modern Standard Service provides commercial coffee equipment installation, maintenance and technical support across mainland Great Britain.

Our engineers are strategically based across the country, supported by a network of trusted service partners, allowing us to support independent businesses as well as large multi-site estates.

Nationwide engineering coverage

We don't operate from a single local engineering base.

Our engineering coverage is spread across Great Britain so that we can provide practical nationwide support to customers in England, Scotland and Wales.

Alongside our own engineers, we work with carefully selected service partners to extend our coverage and provide local technical support where required.

This gives us the flexibility to support everything from a single independent cafรฉ to national hospitality groups with large numbers of locations.

Supporting large multi-site estates

Managing coffee equipment across dozens โ€” or hundreds โ€” of locations requires more than simply sending an engineer when something breaks.

We work with multi-site operators across the UK, coordinating equipment installation, planned preventative maintenance, reactive call-outs and ongoing technical support across their estates.

Our experience includes supporting customers such as:

  • GAIL's: 195+ locations

  • Ole & Steen: 25+ locations

  • ETM Collection: around 10 locations

Whether you operate one site or a national estate, we can build a service arrangement around the size, equipment mix and operating requirements of your business.

Service response times

Our standard service-plan response times are:

Bronze

48-hour response

Our entry-level planned and reactive maintenance package.

Silver

24-hour response

For businesses where equipment uptime is particularly important.

Gold

24-hour response

Our highest standard level of service support, with additional benefits depending on the package agreed.

Response times and the precise scope of cover are subject to the terms of your individual service agreement.

See our service packages for full details.

Highlands and remote locations

We can support customers in the Scottish Highlands and other remote areas, but additional travel time and charges may apply.

Because engineer availability and travel requirements vary significantly in these locations, our standard 24- or 48-hour response times may not always be available.

We will confirm the appropriate service arrangements, expected response time and any additional charges before your service agreement begins.

Islands and Northern Ireland

Service coverage for:

  • Northern Ireland;

  • Scottish islands;

  • Isle of Man;

  • Channel Islands; and

  • other non-mainland locations

is available by prior agreement.

Additional travel, accommodation, transport or partner-engineer charges may apply, and response times will be agreed according to the location.

Contact us before purchasing a service plan and we will confirm what coverage is available for your postcode.

Emergency and out-of-hours support

Some of our service agreements can include emergency and out-of-hours engineering support.

This is an additional service and is subject to separate charges and agreed availability.

If your business requires evening, weekend or emergency cover, speak to us when arranging your service plan and we can build the appropriate level of support into your agreement.

Installation coverage

We also provide commercial coffee equipment installation across mainland Great Britain.

Our installation engineers can install and commission espresso machines, grinders, water filtration and other commercial coffee equipment, subject to the site meeting our installation requirements.

For non-mainland and remote locations, installation is available by agreement and additional travel or logistics charges may apply.
